What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?

Emerald green & gold (fall colors and Packers-adjacent)

What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?

We both love reading so many of our decorations were centered around books, mixed with some antique gold–kind of fairytale vibes when the flowers and greenery were mixed in.

Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?

La Crosse was centrally located for our wedding guests and it’s our home. Celebrations was an easy choice because Ann and her team were easy to get a long with upon first introduction and the layout was beautiful.

What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

The dancing!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?

We got so busy during the reception we didn’t make time to go visit every table, I wish I could have talked to more guests!

What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?

Give yourself more time to be engaged, no one expects you to plan a wedding in less than a year.

How did you manage your guest count?

We used theknot.com and electronic RSVPs, it was much easier than dealing with paper responses.

Who were your vendors? (DJ, Photographer, Flowers, Hair/Makeup, Dessert, etc.) How did you choose them?

MegaMusic DJ

The Cakery

We were primarily focused on our budget and all of our vendors did a fantastic job.
