What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?

Maroon and blue. We thought these were nice, bold options without being overwhelming to look at because we didn’t want to go nuts with really bright colors.

What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?

We had lots of Avengers themes sprinkled throughout the ceremony because we’re both huge nerds

Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?

We met each other in Winona and wanted to be somewhere in the area. Celebrations was easily the most beautiful spot we saw, plus it was a good central location for all our family to travel to

What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

Way too many to count. Everything went perfectly

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?

Nope!

What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?

Stay true to what YOU want to do. Making your parents/grandparents happy on a thing or two is fine, but this is your day. Treat it that way and don’t let outside pressure lead you into making decisions you don’t want to make. We were given this advice before we started planning, followed it, and ended up with our perfect day.

Who were your vendors? (DJ, Photographer, Flowers, Hair/Makeup, Dessert, etc.) How did you choose them?

DJ – Ever After Entertainment (from Celebrations partner list)

Flowers – winged it at the farmer’s market that morning

Hair – Shades Body Studio (recommended from Celebrations planner)

Makeup – Samantha Langrehr (recommended from Celebrations planner)

Dessert – Bloedow’s Bakery (we wanted a Winona tie to the wedding and Kaitlyn isn’t huge on cake, so our favorite donuts were the choice)

Photography – Erica Rosemeyer of Copper Lens Photography
