What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?
Our color palette was purple with small accents of blue and some pink. Purple is Taylor’s favorite color. It was easy to ensure purple was too overbearing by adding in the accent colors.
What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?
Our inspiration was a timeless wedding. We had several ideas that we liked that we combined to make our day even more unique. We wanted the wedding to be elegant, but also have a touch of who we are.
Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?
We chose Celebrations on the River because of the beautiful location of the venue and all that they could offer us. The ease of knowing someone was going to set up our day just the way we want it and take it all down at the end of the night was a huge selling point for us! The food was absolutely amazing and the variety of food they offered allowed us to accommodate all of our guests! All of the staff were so helpful during our decision process and quickly answered any questions we had.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
My favorite moment of our wedding day was our first look. Last minute we decided that we wanted our first look to be private. The venue and the photographer were so accommodating to this request. It truly allowed this moment to be so incredibly special and something we will never forget!
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
We would not change a single thing about our day. It was absolutely perfect!
What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?
I was a little concerned about only having 3 meetings with the venue prior to our big day. I wasn’t sure it allowed us to communicate properly to ensure everything was in place and set up to our liking. This was something that I did NOT need to worry about! Celebrations on the River knocked it out of the park and had every little detail we wanted.
What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?
Celebrations on the River was truly a breeze to work with and I would recommend doing a package deal. It was so nice to not have to deal with all of the décor after the wedding. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was as well as the convenience of the ceremony and reception all in one location. The day goes by so quickly, and celebrations on the river truly takes care of all the details so you can really take in your special day!
How did you manage your guest count?
Our planned guest count was 225, but as RSVP’s came in we quickly realized we were going to have more than planned. Celebrations worked with us right up till the week before the wedding we locked in our guest count at about 275.
Who were your vendors? (DJ, Photographer, Flowers, Hair/Makeup, Dessert, etc.) How did you choose them?
Celebrations on the River gave us a great variety of vendors to look at through their package deal. It truly made the process of finding these important elements to our wedding a breeze. We were able to easily communicate and do social media searches of the vendors right from the Celebrations on the River website. As our DJ we had DJ Brettly. He was absolutely amazing, and his play list kept our family and friends on the dance floor all night! As our photographer he chose Volkman Photography. Travis was amazing to work with! Neither of us are very photogenic, but Travis took the time to help us with that to ensure our photos would come out breathtaking. Hair/Makeup we went with Brooke Webber. She completed my makeup look
flawlessly and it lasted all day and night! For dessert we went with Celebrations on the river. They were absolutely delicious!!
