What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?

Cabernet, Dusty Rose, Dark Grey, and Ivory. Choose those colors because of a picture I had seen and fell in love.

Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?
It was by the water. We are very active on the water in the summer months and on vacations so it had a special meaning to us.

What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
Seeing my now husband cry on our first look.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?

The rain! If only it didn’t rain for that two hours during the ceremony.

What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?

People’s meal choices. They seemed to forget what they wanted anyway.

What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?

Keep all receipts and documentation over any interactions. We were very fortunate with all vendors we worked with, but have heard horror stories.

How did you manage your guest count?

Through The Knot wedding website.

Suits: Men’s Warehouse

We choose our vendors mainly by word of mouth and my own experience with them. Also, based on responsiveness which was very important to me.
