What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?

October is mine and my husband’s favorite month because we love the feeling of fall and the seasons changing. We love the colors of the trees so we wanted those things to come through in our photos. I like the more moody darker pictures than the bright ones so we were tying to go for that romantic feeling at our wedding.

What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?

Navy, geeen, cream and golds. With it being a fall wedding, I loved the deep jewel tones.

Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?

Celebrations was the only venue we looked at and we knew right away it was the right choice for us. Center Court was not even completed at the time but we had an instant connection to the staff and the venue. We loved being close to the water and just felt from the start that is where out dream wedding would be and we were right!

What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

Our first look definitely stands out as an amazing moment. We almost didn’t do a first look but but glad we did. It gave us time to just enjoy each other before all the wedding chaos started. The staff made sure I had everything I needed and calmed my nerves too before the big moment! Also our live band was amazing. I would give anything to go back to our reception and dance to them again!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?

I wouldn’t change anything. It was very stressful planning a wedding, probably one of the most stressful things I’ve done, but the staff at Celebrations really made it all worth it.

What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?

I would just say making sure everything was so perfect. Your guests don’t notice the small things, they just want to enjoy the couple, the food and just have a good time. Sweating the small stuff isn’t worth it in the end!

What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?

Take time to enjoy each other as a married couple. When people say it goes fast, it is so true, you blink and it is over. Make sure you take time to take it all in. Make sure you have an amazing photographer who captures your moments as that is all you have once the day is over. Don’t obsess over small things! My main thing was making sure my guests had fun and talked about our wedding years later, and still to this day we get compliments on how fun and beautiful our wedding was and it makes all the hard work and stress planning worth it!!
