What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?
Black and white. We chose to keep our colors simple, as the room speaks for itself! It is so beautiful and doesn’t need much added. Also, we wanted to have a simple and modern vibe!
What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?
Pinterest was a huge help with inspiration, but also we find black and white stunning and very modern.
Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?
Friends of ours were married there a few years ago and had given great reviews! The venue offers great packages and makes the wedding planning process easy and organized! The team is amazing to work with and are quick to respond to questions.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
Our first look on the picture path was so special because we were able to take a breath and enjoy each other’s company.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
Everything was so amazing and came together flawlessly. There isn’t anything that comes to mind that we would change.
What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?
We spent a lot of time on the schedule/timeline for the day, but we ended up just going with the flow and enjoying ourselves.
What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?
I recommend starting early on the planning and don’t push little things to do at the last minute because they will add up! Also, stay in contact with your vendors. They have great advice and many of them have been at the venue previously!
How did you manage your guest count?
The Knot was very helpful in keeping our guest list in order, but through the beginning stages of planning it is a good idea to make a list of the people you absolutely want at your wedding. Then add from that point!
Who were your vendors? (DJ, Photographer, Flowers, Hair/Makeup, Dessert, etc.) How did you choose them?
DJ – Ever After Entertainment (Sam)

Flowers – Monet Floral
Hair and Makeup – Makeup by Brooke Weber
Dessert – Meringue Bakery and Celebration’s
Videographer- Espy Films
We read reviews and met with all of our vendors before making a decision. We wanted to learn as much as we could and hear of other’s experiences before making our decisions. We are so happy with all of our vendors!
