What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?

Sage green and gold with mauve accents. I really like the warmth of gold and the spring tones of sage green and mauve. I also did not want any bright, loud colors and they just fit the aesthetic nicely.

What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?

Industrial Romantic. I really wanted clean lines without any “fluff”- which is where the industrial comes in. I also still wanted it to feel warm and inviting which is where the romantic comes in. I feel like these two really compliment each other.

Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?

I loved the idea of having everything in one location to reduce the stress for planning as well as make it easy and enjoyable for our guests. The altar area is just absolutely beautiful with the view overlooking the river. I also really appreciated the hands-on approach to helping us plan, organize and decorate the day. They really helped bring my ideas to life.

What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

The private first look and vows with each other prior to all the other events of the day. It helped calm so much anxiety and nerves and we loved being able to really spend all day together.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?

Clearer communication regarding the shuttle. That is the one big hiccup that did not go to plan.

What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?

Signage and the guest book. I spent a lot of time creating personalized signage for our guest book and other tables and really it was not necessary and honestly no one really signed our guest book anyway.

What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?

Try to enjoy it as much as possible and try to really figure out what is important to you as a couple. While your guests are important the day is about celebrating your love, so make sure you focus on creating the day that you want.
