What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
Sitting at the head table, looking out and everyone smiling having a great time, and realizing, “wow, all these people are here for us!”
What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?
Blues, taupe, dusty pink/mauve – fairly neutral with a little pop of color
Why did you host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?
Venue space, customer service, transparency of services and pricing, aesthetics
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
I’d have the DJ hook up so his music and announcements could be heard by people outside on the patio/playing yard games
What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?
Honestly, Celebrations made it really easy to not have to obsess over anything because they did almost everything for us. It was a very easy and stress free wedding planning and wedding day!
What advice do you have for future couples planning their wedding?
Celebrations is WELL worth it! We couldn’t have been happier with how easy Celebrations and Kayla made it for us.
How did you manage your guest count?
The Knot
Who were your vendors? (DJ, Photographer, Hair/Makeup, Florist, Dessert, etc.) How did you choose them?
- DJ: Music in Motion (Tim) – a family friend – he went above and beyond for us!
- Photographer/Videographer: Madeline Litler and Matt Ayer – we booked through Encompass, but these two both have their own photography and videography businesses as well. They were so friendly, knowledgeable, and produced incredible pictures and video!
- Hair: Kristin Taggert – heard of her through a friend – she knows what she is doing and her hair holds longer than others we have experienced.
- Makeup: Amber Rae – recommended by our hair stylist
- Florist: I did my own flowers (wood/fake) – I don’t love flowers so I did not want to waste money on real ones, or having someone else do them.
- Dessert: Celebrations for the couples cake, and Sams Club for the cookies/brownies – it came down to our preferences of dessert, cost, etc.
