What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?
Our color palette was dusty purples with burgundy suits, magenta, dark greens and gold. I chose these colors because I love purple and the romantic tone of all the colors together was very ethereal and fairytale-esque which is what I was going for. It turned out amazing and really complimented the beautiful room we were in!
What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?
Beauty in the Beast and wanting something classy but different
Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?
I instantly fell in love with the Center Court venue and the versatility of the venue – had both indoor and outdoor capability, a beautiful dining room, the tiki bar and outdoor patio and the large ceremony site. Plus all the on-site support! Ann is amazing!
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
How can I choose? My favorite moment by far was seeing my now husband watching me walk down the aisle! It was a moment I won’t forget. I loved getting ready with my best friends, and we partied the night away. It was amazing and I am so grateful for the support we had from your team!
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
I would not do family style dining. We had a lot of complaints after the wedding about people not getting enough to eat. It seemed like tables did not get the same amount of food served to them – some had too much, some too little. I wish we would have done buffet.
What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?
Centerpieces and name cards. I wish I would’ve done else decor and more flowers because Shanna at Evoke Chancy KILLED IT!
What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?
Do it together. It is such a special time and should be a reflection of you both. Also: SOAK IT UP. Everyone says it goes by so fast and it is so true. The joy of that day still sticks with me and I love thinking back and reveling in it. Just wish I could do it over and over and over again but also so glad I can’t 😂
