Why did you host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?
The venue is absolutely incredible! They offer everything in house which makes the planning process so smooth and easy. Their decorations are beautiful and they have so much to choose from. All of the food is fantastic, I truly do not have one negative thing to say about the venue. All of the rooms are so gorgeous and my husband and I had the wedding of our wildest dreams all thanks to our wedding coordinator and Celebrations on the River.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
My favorite moment was walking down the mirrored isle runner to my husband! All of the Christmas lights were reflecting off of the isle which made it such a dreamy and romantic space. Everyone fell in love with the indoor snow machine as well – talk about a fairy tale winter wedding!
What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?
Brown, ivory, white, pine green (Christmas neutrals for a Christmas wedding) and of course all of the candles and Christmas lights for a romantic holiday feel
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
NO! I would not change one thing. Everything turned out so perfect and went so incredibly smooth. The whole day was beyond my wildest dreams. The venue, the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere were all so amazing. I’m so glad my husband and I chose to do our wedding with Celebrations on the River.
What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?
Initially, I obsessed over how the day and timeline would go to make sure we were on time. However, our wedding coordinator, Kayla, truly made everything so easy. She is so professional, caring, organized, and prepared. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease with guiding us through the day and making sure our day was catered to us and perfect for us. All of my worries went away working with Kayla, and I was able to have a fun, smooth, and relaxing day!
What advice do you have for future couples planning their wedding?
Celebrations on the River is the venue to choose! Food, drinks, decorations, and a wedding coordinator are all included in the packages which makes the process so easy and smooth. I was not stressed out at all working with this venue. I truly think that having Celebrations on the River as our venue is what made our day so magical and perfect.
How did you manage your guest count?
We used “The Knot” to create our wedding guest list which helps keep track of all guests, addresses, and who is attending versus who declined. It also offers the feature to message guests to remind them to RSVP and it really helped me stay organized.
Who were your vendors? (DJ, Photographer, Hair/Makeup, Florist, Dessert, etc.) How did you choose them?

We decided to go with these vendors because they all catered to my vision and what I wanted. They are all such amazing people and vendors who truly cared about making my day as special and perfect as it could be. Throughout the year prior to my wedding date, they would all reach out during the planning process to make sure things were organized and all ready for my big day. Also, every person and vendor communicated quickly and would be there to answer any questions I had. They are all so supportive, talented, and professional.
