What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?

Our color palette was mostly neutrals including black, taupe, white, light pink. We chose these colors because we wanted a modern, classy, and timeless look.

What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?

Simple, classic, and modern with a touch of BoHo.

Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?

We fell in love with the venue immediately when we toured the place. It offered everything we wanted from the outdoor altar, outdoor space for our guests to enjoy, beautiful indoor space for our dinner/reception, and a wide variety of decor options we could choose from that made planning so much easier! The coordinators were amazing to work with from the very beginning and were there every step of the way to ensure a smooth process.

What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

Our favorite memory of our wedding day was being able to celebrate with our family and close friends on the dance floor! We had the best time and the dance floor was filled all night!

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?

We wouldn’t change a thing! We had the most amazing day all thanks for our family, friends, vendors, and the Celebrations staff!

What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?

I spent a lot of time choosing songs to play during our ceremony, cocktail hour, grand march, and dances. They are special but ultimately were not as important as I thought they would be.

What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?

Allow others to help you throughout the planning process even if it’s little tasks. Take off a few days to one week before the wedding day to do any last minute things so you don’t feel too stressed the day before and the day of. It is important to relax and enjoy those days leading up to your big day too! Also, remember to soak up every little moment of your wedding day because it truly flies by!

How did you manage your guest count?

We determined our guest count after making a list of family and close friends we for sure wanted to invite and made sure it was in line with our budget. We kept track of our guest list and RSVP’s through Zola.com.
