What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?
Blues and silver. Blue has been the bride’s favorite color since childhood. Blue everything, blue clothes, blue shoes, blue carpet in her bedroom. Never enough blue! So when she found out the groom also enjoys the color blue, the pallett was set, BLUE!
What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?
The inspiration for the look and feel of the wedding was dreamy, spring, and fun.
Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?
We chose to host our wedding at Celebrations on the River for a few reasons. First, we needed a venue that could fit the size of our guest count. Second, we wanted something new and fun. Time for a new venue that we hadn’t been to before. Also, a huge perk in our decision making process was that Celebrations does a lot of the planning for us when doing the VIP package! It really streamlined the planning and was a huge stress relief!
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
The favorite moment of our wedding day was our first look which was a moment in the picture path. It was a magical moment within a beautiful scenic spot. It was serene, quiet, and beautiful. We had the cutest picture together on a tandem bike that I will always cherish!
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
If I could do it all over again, I don’t think I would change anything. The day went off without a hitch and the staff at Celebrations was a big part of that!
What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?
One thing I obsessed over but realized it did not matter was what other people would think about the day. Whether it was what they would think about the color scheme, decorations, or what I looked like. In reality, the only thoughts I should have been concerned with were my own and future husband’s.
What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?
For future couples planning their weddings, I would advise you to do the VIP package at Celebrations. It took so much stress off of our wedding planning experience and also let us have fun with the decorations and do so much more than what we originally would do on our own.
How did you manage your guest count?
We managed our guest count through our wedding website, The Knot. We had individuals RSVP online and had a QR code on the invite so they could easily get to the website.
Who were your vendors? (DJ, Photographer, Flowers, Hair/Makeup, Dessert, etc.) How did you choose them?
DJ KC Entertainment; Photographer Sarah Schultz Photography; Flowers Sola wood flowers and Luv Sola flowers done by bride; Hair Blondes and Bridals; Makeup Alli Rivera at Metropolitan Salon & Spa; Dessert cupcakes ordered through Celebrations; Videographer Sun Prairie Photo.
