What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?

Peacock teal with rose gold and grey.

Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?

We loved the look and feel. We also really appreciated that it was basically like an all inclusive resort. We loved the employees’ effort and enthusiasm to make every wedding unique and perfect.

What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?

I loved the dance and being able to just relax and hang out with friends and family.

Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?

I would make our officiant practice and make sure they and everyone know no cell phones during the ceremony. Also making sure that everyone got their champagne that I promised our group and making sure we had more time to eat and more food to take with us. The container we were given got soggy and broke open so we did not get to enjoy it. I also was not happy with most of our photos so I do wish I would have put more thought into my dresses.

What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?

Make sure everyone knows the timelines. Made sure the makeup and hair people could stick to their timeline. Take time to be together alone. We did not get that because everything did not go to the time.

How did you manage your guest count?

We made a big wishlist. Then split it between must haves and maybes. Started with must haves. Then the rest got late invites. Having a Friday cut our numbers down alot too.

Who were your vendors? (DJ, Photographer, Flowers, Hair/Makeup, Dessert, etc.) How did you choose them?

Dj: Dj Brettly, amazing. We had worked with him previously and he was on the list to choose from.
