What was your color palette? Why did you choose those colors?
White, light gray, and salmon. We chose the colors we thought would look bright and pretty for our spring wedding!
What was the inspiration for the look and feel of your wedding?
We went for a very classic, light and bright vibe.
Why did you choose to host your wedding at Celebrations on the River?
We were so impressed with Celebrations ability to provide multiple services on-site. It made planning SO easy and was more cost effective than bringing in outside vendors for everything.
What was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
We loved being able to get ready with our bridal party, but our top favorite moment was seeing each other for the first time.
Would you change anything if you could do it all over again?
We would have specified in more detail exactly what we wanted to eat during dinner. It was fantastic that the staff were able to set our plates for us (we did butler-passed appetizers rather than a plated meal) but we realized after that we never requested specifically what we wanted.
What was one thing you obsessed over, but realized it did not matter?
We can’t think of anything for this one! We were both very laid back during the wedding planning process and the things we did obsess over were worth it.
What advice do you have for future couples planning their weddings?
Ask questions and let people help you! We DIY-d most of our décor and actually had fun with it because we had family who offered to help us.
How did you manage your guest count?
We made sure to stick with people we genuinely wanted to share our day with. We skipped over very extended family that we hadn’t spoken to since we were kids, and we didn’t invite any children.

We did our own flowers, hair, and makeup.
We chose our vendors based on previous great experiences we’d had with each one.
